Lord, help me remember
To appreciate what I have
And that which I can
Before it is taken from
Or given to me

The Writer

Worlds of buy-me-nows
Demands to mix
And throw off wedding vows

Our lands today
Could be called insane

So I keep writing
Inspired by what still remains

And as the witness
I feel no pain

Cold

The fire won't seem to start
Beneath his endeavor
Or heart

Every button he doth press
Brings him only closer
To death

In some failed servant's role
For which now, he is too old
And cold

Burned

You
Took my humanity
Away

So I say:
Thanks
And good riddance
To you both
In every way
